When is Chaiti Chhath Puja
Chhath Mahaparva starts with Nahai Khay. After this, this Mahaparva ends with Kharna and then the next day with evening arghya and the next day with Usha Arghya. This year, Chaiti Chhath is starting on 1 April 2025, on Tuesday, a bath on 1 April and the second day is on 2 April 2025, Wednesday. On April 3, the fasting will offer arghya to the sinking sun. Arghya will be offered to the rising sun on Friday, April 4, 2025 and on this day Mahavrata will be passed with prasad.

Rules of Chhath Puja

  • If you are doing Chhath Puja for the first time, then keep in mind that cleanliness has special significance in this puja, then maintain it.

  • If you are fasting for Chhath Puja, then make sure that one of the rules of fast should be followed with bitter.

  • At the time of Chhath Puja, all the members of the house should take satvic food. Do not consume garlic and onion from the day of Nahai-Khay till the rising sun.

  • Only those who keep fast have to make Prasad of Chhath. If you are not making it, then do some help in it.

  • Take special care of cleanliness and purity while making offerings. Keep in mind that all the offerings related to Chhath Puja will be made on the earthen stove.

  • At the time of Chhath Puja, only unbroken clothes should be worn, if the saree is worn, there will be no work of prostitution or fall in it.

  • Similarly, do not use needle in clothes worn during worship.

  • Use bamboo soup and basket in worship. The Vrati will have to sleep by laying a mat on the ground during the entire puja.
