New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft flaunted his Super Bowl ring to officers when he was pulled over after he allegedly paid two women to perform a sex act on him, officials said.
“[Kraft] asked the [officer] if he was a Dolphins fan. He then told the officer he was the owner of the Patriots … and showed his Super Bowl ring,” prosecutors wrote in court papers obtained by the Boston Globe.
The 77-year-old billionaire continued to talk football with cops before he was arrested Jan. 19 in Jupiter, Florida, according to the outlet. He told them he was headed to Kansas City the next day to watch the Patriots face off the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game, prosecutors said.
“Robert Kraft was very polite and respectful during the whole process,” prosecutors said.
The NFL owner was charged with two misdemeanor counts of soliciting prostitution during a visit to the Orchids of Asia Day Spa. He was allegedly caught on camera receiving the sexual services at the day spa.
Kraft’s attorneys are scheduled to appear Friday in Palm Beach County court to ask a judge to block the surveillance video allegedly showing the sex act inside the spa.
His lawyers have argued that the alleged videos of Kraft are “basically pornography” and shouldn’t be made public.
