DJ Khaled is Apple Music's first artist in residence

Musician DJ Khaled has introduced that he’s Apple Music’s first artist in residence, and can take over the largest playlists on the streaming music service.
Khaled posted a video on Instagram, depicting him on the cellphone saying he is “at work” and with an Apple badge. The artist says that his aim is to “break new artists” on the platform, and he has put out a name to all labels to contact him with solutions.
Apple has more and more turned to main artists and exclusives to draw folks to Apple Music. Maybe the most effective identified instance is Taylor Swift, who shot a sequence of commercials for the service, and whose album 1989 was unique to Apple Music for a time. Drake can also be a frequent face for Apple Music.
DJ Khaled launched his We the Finest present on Beats 1 in February 2016.
