Catie Chang has obtained the 2019 Early Profession Achievement Award from a society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Chang, an assistant professor of laptop science, electrical engineering and laptop engineering, was honored this week on the IEEE Engineering in Medication & Biology Society convention. Particularly, the award cites her “modern contributions to human useful neuroimaging analysis which have superior the interpretation and evaluation of fMRI knowledge.”
She is a core school member of each the Vanderbilt College Institute of Imaging Science and the Vanderbilt Institute for Surgical procedure and Engineering. Her Neuroimaging and Mind Dynamics Lab focuses on advancing the understanding of human mind perform in well being and illness.
Lab members develop new approaches for learning human mind exercise by integrating useful neuroimaging, together with fMRI and EEG, and computational evaluation methods.

The EMBS Early Profession Achievement Award consists of an honorarium and is awarded for important contributions to the sphere of biomedical engineering as evidenced by modern analysis design, product growth, patents, and/or publications made by a person who’s inside 10 years of finishing their highest diploma on the time of the nomination.
Chang, who obtained her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford College within the Radiological Sciences Lab, had been a Postdoctoral Fellow and Analysis Fellow on the Nationwide Institute of Neurological Problems and Stroke (NIH Intramural Analysis), within the Superior MRI Part.
She joined the Faculty of Engineering school in August 2018.
