The Government of ChhattisGarh has launched Naxalite Regulation Relief Rehabilitation Policy-2025

The Chhattisgarh government has officially implemented Naxalite surrender and the Naxalite rehabilitation policy for areas affected by Naxalite violence. According to officials, this policy was made to provide rehabilitation and relief from persons and families of Naxalite as well as Naxalites. The district collector’s committees will be the chairman of the committees, according to the notice issued by the domestic department on March 28, 2025, special committees will be established under the chairmanship of the district collector in each district to ensure the effective implementation of the policy. Police superintendent will be the secretary of these committees, including Divisional Bos Officer, CEO of District Panchayat, two other officers nominated by the collector and representatives of the military. In addition, a nodal officer will be appointed at the district and sub-district level to oversee rehabilitation efforts. Officials further said that the Department of Home Affairs ordered that all cases of the victims be identified, as the formation of the state and the choice of Naxalites to be given for rehabilitation and relief should take precedence. Unique identity for victims and Naxalites who surrender a special portal is developed to enter details of all victims and surrender Naxalites, to give them a unique identity. The officials involved will regularly monitor the portal dashboard to ensure relief and proper implementation of rehabilitation activities. The Department of Home Affairs also instructed the district collectors to complete the guidelines mentioned in the policy and within the set timeframe complete auxiliary and rehabilitation measures. The state government is ready to communicate with the Naxalites, but the Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vijay Sharma, has reiterated that the state government is ready to talk to the Naxalites. He made it clear that the government will not form a committee for discussions, but if the Naxalites form their committee, they will join the conversation. Sharma also emphasized that Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah called on the Naxalites to give up violence and join the mainstream. He said that if Naxalite gives up violence, they will be welcome, but if they continue with their armed activities, the security forces will be forced to retaliate. Share this story -tags
