Here is Lord Shiva without Nandi, Nashik City of Maharashtra is known for the Kumbh Mela. Apart from this, he is also famous for another reason. There is actually a temple of Kapaleshwar Mahadev on the banks of the Godavari River. It is the only Shiva temple where the vehicle of Lord Shiva is not established. According to legend, Lord Shiva once lived in this temple. Why is Nandi presence in the temple? It is believed that there were five faces of Lord Brahma at one time. Four of which the verses of the Vedas were pronounced and condemned the fifth face. It is said that Lord Shiva became angry with the blasphemous face and separated that mouth from Brahmaji’s body. Through which Lord Shiva felt the sin of killing Brahma. Lord is believed to have begun to run in the universe to get rid of the sin of the death of Brahma, but no solution was found. In this order, when he sat in Someshwar, a calf calls him the prevention of that sin. It is said that the calf was Nandi. He went with Lord Shiva to Godavari and urged him to bathe in Kund. After bathing, Lord Shiva could get freedom from the sin of killing Brahma. It is believed that Lord Shiva could be freed from the sin of the death of Brahma as a result of Nandi, so he regarded Nandi as his Guru and settled there as Shivinga. Since Nandi became the Guru of Lord Shiva here, he refused to settle Nandi before him. It is said that Shiva Ji has since been installed in the Kapaleshwar Temple without Nandi. Share this story -tags
