Mumbai: A major accident in the Arabian Sea, passengers saved because of the understanding of staff
Mumbai, April 11 (IANS). A major accident was averted in Mumbai’s Arabian Sea on Friday night, when a passenger boat began to drown from Mandwa to the gate due to technical error. Due to the filling of water in the boat, panic spread among the passengers, but over time all passengers were safely saved due to rapid action and understanding of other boat staff in the area. Mumbai police confirmed the incident. The incident happened on Friday night when a passenger boat from Mandwa to the gate suddenly caused technical error. According to preliminary information, water began to fill the voice due to the technical problem. After seeing it, the boat reached the point of drowning, which panicked among the passengers in it. At the time of the accident, there were a few other boats in the area, whose staff experienced the situation immediately. These boat staff, without taking care of their lives, drank to the boat who drowned quickly and began rescue work. Due to their understanding and prompt actions, all the passengers in the boat were safely evacuated. Let me tell you that the accident happened earlier on December 18 last year due to a passenger boat called Neelkamal who goes from Gateway or India to Elephanta Island. 15 people lost their lives in this accident, while about 100 people were saved on time. The accident could have taken even greater form than the Mumbai Port Trust (MPT) manager Arif Bamne and his team did not show up in time for help. The incident occurred between 3 and 16:00 later, when the engine cap was underway in the fleet boat. Suddenly the boat failed and she collided with Neelkamal. The Neelskamal boat drove more than 100 people and traveled from the gate of India to Elephanta Island. -Ians PSK/CBT Share this story Tags
