Deputy Commissioner Sushil Sarwan informed that about 1,16,686 water was released from the barrage on August 17 until 1pm. This water will enter the border of the Sonepat district within the next 36 to 40 hours. The district administration is completely attentive to the possibility of the rising water level of the Yamuna River. The Deputy Commissioner said that people living in the lower areas are vigilant and that an appeal has been appealed to follow the guidelines given by the administration.
