Searching for a youth of Jharkhand plunged into the Chandra River of Lahaul
The search and rescue operation of searching for another victim in the Chandra River in the Lahaul and Spiti districts yesterday continued for the second day yesterday, although not success. Two Jaarkhand youths were drowned in this incident. One body was recovered yesterday, while the other victim was not detected. In response to the continued discovery, a detailed campaign was launched during the day with seven teams. Teams with different special units and activists have continued to locate the missing youth. A district police team, a quick reaction team (QRT), a float team from Babeli, Manali Adventure Search and Rescue Team and a local residents helped with the search campaign. Police officers, including Raj Kumar, DSP, Keylong, Lahaul and Spiti, led the campaign. The teams tried tirelessly to locate the missing youth, which was swept away in the sharp stream of the river as they tried to cross the river with their partner. DSP Raj Kumar said the search operation, despite the strong streams of the river and the challenges of the bumpy areas today and the teams hope they will find the victim soon.
