Spring has sprung, which means young life abounds…and is rapidly eaten🤪

A recent study estimated that each year the prey spiders eat outweighs all people on earth.

Or, if spiders would cooperate(and we were to sit very still) they could eat us all and still be hungry.

The more likely scenario is the spiders eating each other down to a few(zillion) very well fed stomachs.

This is breathtaking to watch, and with so many spiders, you can probably find one pretty close by to observe. That makes me happy ☺️

The best places for spiders(and people) are complex environments supporting a diversity of life. The antithesis to “modern” gardens. .

Creating habitat in your backyard, or pushing for a new look at public landscaping, will help keep the miracle of life alive and nearby to be admired. .
