Senate Armed Companies Subcmte Listening to on US Shipbuilding Packages Mar 27 2019

The Senate Armed Companies Subcommittee on Seapower held a listening to to look at the Navy’s varied shipbuilding packages and funding wants. James Geurts, the Navy’s assistant secretary for analysis, improvement and acquisition, fielded a lot of the questions from senators, and subjects included fleet upkeep, submarine and plane service development, workforce coaching packages, threats posed by China, and the potential affect of future price range sequestration attributable to caps from the Price range Management Act.
