My statements about jealousy are not the reason for my divorce from Yasmine Rais

Director Hadi Al-Bagouri denied that his statements about jealousy and presenting bold scenes were the reason for his divorce from his wife, artist Yasmine Rais.

Hadi Al-Bagouri said: “The reason for my divorce from Yasmine Rais is not because of my statement about jealousy. This statement was in an interview and the talk was that if there are certain roles, an actress must play them because I was working in the movie (Qamar 14) at the time, and there was a kiss in it for Sherine Reda and Khaled Al-Nabawi.” .

He added: “They said, ‘If I were to ask Yasmine, who was my wife at the time, would she agree to this?’ My response was, ‘You want me to remain a hypocrite. I mean, I can’t agree to another actress doing this and I don’t agree to this because she is my wife.'”

He continued: “Yes, if she was in a movie like this and a scene like this, I would let her do that. I would not be able to say no to her because I would remain a hypocrite, and the issue had nothing to do with jealousy. It had nothing to do with me being a man who believes in what I do and do in a clear and frank manner.”
