date night. no special occasion, just another day, enjoying a dreamlife with my best friend. i never imagined i would have ended up in the kind of marriage, where after fifteen and a half years, i could still feel like a girl crushing on a hot guy, who just happens to also be my husband. it is a second marriage for both of us. it wasn’t that the exes were bad people. it was just that we were all too young and broken back in the day to be responsible for the heart of another. so we tucked the mistakes away, found a way to learn from them and grew ourselves up. shit, it took us a good long while. are we flawless in this second marriage? fuck no. i can be bratty sometimes, trying to have things go my own way. and as much as i adore him, my hubby can be stubborn occasionally. and sometimes we each speak without thinking, feelings get hurt & apologies then need making. but on the other hand, this man is, hands down, the most sweetest, most loving person i have EVER met among all human beings. and we are both thankful for all the wrong turns & past failures that eventually brought the two of us together. (rascal flatt’s bless the broken road is one our theme songs). i just wanted to give a shoutout on behalf of LOVE ❤️—loving people, single or paired up, lesbian, gay, bi or straight and especially i’m shouting out for beautiful marriages. may happily married people speak up more in a world that can use a little more good news about LOVE. sending my love to all the IG peeps. stay awesome & keep shining! .
