A large number of people suffer from the problem of insomnia or interrupted sleep, which threatens their health and reduces their focus during work.

British newspaper "The Sun", published an article in which I talked about insomnia, the inability to sleep, and suffering from it, and the situation in which a person desperately needs rest.

The newspaper said that a simple breathing technique would make anyone sleep in less than one minute, and it is called the "4-7-8" method.

She added that the “4-7-8” method is popular with people who suffer from insomnia, noting that it produces results in less than a minute, and that all people have to do is to make a change in the way of breathing and its frequency.

The newspaper explained the method of breathing, she said, "You can try this method by breathing through the nose for 4 seconds, then hold yourself for 7 seconds, then breathe for 8 seconds, and repeat this process 4 times.

Dr. Andrew Weil, an integrative medicine specialist at the University of Arizona, said that breathing exercise is inspired by Indian yoga that is used as part of a meditation exercise, explaining that it is the best single way to return to sleep if you wake up in the middle of the night or if you suffer from insomnia.

Dr. Will indicated that this method imposes some rhythms on the breath and gives progressive signals to the nervous system.
