Zach CRegger’s ‘Resident Evil’ described as a game-accurate journey to hell – ryan
Resident Evil is finally getting the adaptation that the iconic video game franchise deserves, according to its director. After A Set of Much-Maligned Movies and a Short-Lived Netflix Series, Resident Evil fans have been waiting long enough for a faithful interpretation of the material. It seems their patience will finally be rewarded when the new movie hits theaters next year.
During Sony’s Cinemacon Panel, Resident Evil Director Zach cegger has confirmed that his upcoming reboot will be unlike any of the previous films in the franchise. He described a faithful adaptation of the source material, teasing that it will carry over the innate terror that each game in the series establishes. The new movie, which stars austin Abrams in the lead role, will follow “one central protagonist from point a to point b” on their journey to hell (which we assume he means figuratively …). Check out his quote:
“There’s a moment that comes in almost every resident evil game where you find yourself in a dark passageway, your health is almost zero and there’s no way around. You have to go through but you know there’s something awful for you in the darkness. Games have perfected.
