"You will say something about Mahatma Gandhi," why did the Supreme Court tell Rahhi?
The Supreme Court described Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on Savarkar as irresponsible. He said that irresponsible remarks about the country’s freedom fighters would not be accepted. However, the Supreme Court also gave relief to Rahul Gandhi. The Supreme Court remained the continued proceedings against him in the Lower Court. A bank led by Justice Dipankar Dutta said Rahul Gandhi could not make such statements without understanding history. The court warned that if such remarks were made again in the future, the Supreme Court would hear the case by taking automatic notice. Indira Gandhi also wrote a letter- The court court further said: “How can you say about those who gave us freedom? Yesterday, would you say something about Mahatma Gandhi, because he wrote” Vishwak Sevak “for Savarkar?” The Supreme Court said Mahatma Gandhi had earlier respected the grandmother of Savarkar and Rahul Gandhi and the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi also wrote a letter to Savarkar. Judge Said-Rahul Gandhi made a statement where Savarkar was worshiped, Justice Dipankar Dutta Rahul Gandhi warned, “You go to Maharashtra and make statements where Savarkar’s ‘worship’ is made. In fact, this matter is related to the statement made by Rahul Gandhi during the ‘Bharat Joaro Yatra’ in Maharashtra in 2022. He commented on Savarkar and said he was taking pension from the British.
