Jakarta – Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly, Lestari Moerdijat (Rerie), emphasizes the importance of comprehensive improvement in the basic, secondary, to tertiary education system. This is to improve the quality of national education in a sustainable way. “When implementing an education system, the principle of continuity between primary, medium and high education must actually be applied to bear a qualified next generation,” Rerie said in her statement, Saturday (6/21/2025). Rerie highlighted the results of the 2022 International Student Assessment (PISA) program showing that the academic performance of Indonesian students did not reach the targets in the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2024.
