A serious accident on Morgaon Road in Pune, eight people died on the spot, very injured
Pune, June 18 (IANS). A car and a bakkie crashed strongly on Jejuri Morgaon Road in the Pune district of Maharashtra on Wednesday night. In this accident, eight people, including a woman, died on the spot. Five people, including two children, were seriously injured in the accident. Once the accident was reported, police reached the place and the investigation was started. The accident happened at about 7:15 pm in front of the Kirloskar business. A car going from Jejuri to Indapur hits a bakkie standing in the area. According to the information received from the scene, when the goods were removed from the bakkie outside the SRI Ram hotel, the car hit the car from behind. The victims include employees, hotel owners and passengers aboard the car. The accident was so serious that eight people died on the spot. According to police, the Swift Dzire car (number MH 42AX 1060) went from Pune to Morgaon from Jejuri to Morgaon. During this time, the car hit a bakkie (number MH12X M3694) before Sri Ram Dhaba. After the accident, there was a crowd of people on the spot. Police showed up and sent the bodies and the injured to the hospital. Later, by calling a crane, the car and bakkie were removed from the road. This is the second major accident in the district in the recent past.
