Bhimavva was born in a traditional puppet artist in 1929. She entered Gombayata Art at the age of 14 and contributed to keeping this art alive for the past seven decades. Bhimavava has brought this traditional art to the global stage with its actions in various states of India, as well as in countries such as America, France, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Bhimavava received several awards for his contribution, including Iran’s Puppetry Award in 1993, Karnataka District in 2005-06, the Bayalat Academy Award, Sanget Natak Akademi Award in 2010, Rajyotsav Award in 2014 and District Shri Awards in 2020-21.
