Chinese CPI -Efforts decrease in March increases the core -proof
Beijing, April 10 (IANS). The Chinese National Statistics Bureau released the latest figures on Thursday, whereby the Consumer Price Index (CPI) scored a slight drop of 0.1 percent in March. This decline is 0.6 percent less than the previous month. These small changes make it clear that the effect of policies made to increase consumer demand is now clearer. In addition, the Core CPI, which does not include food and energy prices, has risen significantly. This is 0.5 percent more than the same month of the previous year. Statistics also showed that food items prices fell by 1.4 percent in March compared to the same period last year, while the prices of non-food items had a 0.2 percent increase. Consumer goods prices fell 0.4 percent, but on the other hand, the service sector prices rose 0.3 percent. If you look at the average data from January to March, the CPI has dropped 0.1 percent this year compared to the same period last year. If you look at the Core CPI by keeping the prices of food and energy separate, it showed special progress in March. Last month, after a drop of the core of the CPI 0.1 percent, it now rose 0.5 percent. (Sincerely- China Media Group, Beijing) -Ins ABM/ Share these Story Tags
