Government will start a trial of artificial rainfall to deal with pollution in Delhi

New -Delhi, April 3 (IANS). Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister of Environmental Affairs in the Delhi government, gave information on Thursday about an important step the government has taken to handle pollution in the national capital. He said the government would conduct a hearing on artificial rain in Delhi. MANJinder Singh Sirsa spoke to the media, saying that the Delhi government has taken a new initiative to combat pollution, including artificial rain in Delhi. This will be done on a test basis, and if successful, it can be applied and widely applied in the future. He believes this step will help reduce serious pollution conditions in Delhi. Sirsa said: “Our goal is for us to use this technique in excessive pollution conditions. We want rainwater to be tested during this hearing, so that it can ensure that it has no harmful chemicals or dangerous elements, which the public can hold.” He said that this step on the outskirts of Delhi will begin, where it can at least be useful in attempt to control pollution. In addition, it will also be ensured that where cloud sow is done, the condition of the environment is suitable, which requires humidity and minimum amount of clouds. Sirsa said that the government of Delhi decided that when both heat and pollution in Delhi became more affected, this artificial rain would begin. For this, the Delhi government will work with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and IIT Kanpur. The minister said that a detailed plan is being prepared for this, which will decide in which areas the cloud sow should be tested. He also said that this test will be performed on Delhi’s outskirts so that it can be applied more effectively and safely. Sirsa finally said that the process of cloud sow also depends on the state of clouds and the current circumstances of the weather.
