Quick growing smartphone production in India amid global declining manufacturing outputs: Report
New -Delhi, June 10 (IANS). Worldwide, it is seen that the manufacturing production of smartphones is declining and the production of India will increase in double digits in 2025, reaching the country’s stock in the world output by about 20 percent. This information was given in a report released on Tuesday. According to Counterpoint Research’s latest global smartphone manufacturing tracker, the global manufacturing output 2025 is estimated to fall by one percent year -on -year. The reason for this is the effect of tariff and inertia in the industry. Earlier in 2024, the operating output had a 4 percent increase. China, India and Vietnam account for more than 90 percent of the global manufacturing output in 2024, with India at the forefront of growth in the output. It is expected to perform mixed performances in the manufacturing outputs of different countries in 2025. China’s production will be affected by rates, leading to a decrease in production as well as a decrease in domestic performance. The change in global production of smartphone manufacturing Worldwide smartphone manufacturing increased after the Kovid-19 epidemic, but rates have damaged operating players at every level, including upstream components from suppliers to downstream importers and distributors, brands to manufacturers. Ivan Lam, senior analyst at Counterpoint Research, said: “Tradements have no choice but to go out of China and grant more production capacity and production in other countries.” Lamb said that the most important winners are in the capacity from China India and Vietnam. India has a lot of potential to increase production and Vietnam, which is relatively close to China and is an adult contract manufacturer and consumer electronics exporter. India’s entire manufacturing ecosystem is gradually increasing and there is continuous improvement in productivity and complexity in local manufacturing. -Ians ABS/ Share This Story Tags
