Sukhu discusses the offer and safety issues of local products to ITBP

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today discussed the role of India Tibet Border Police (ITBP) in the marginal districts of Kinnraur and Lahaul spiti and safety issues to the China border. The chief minister held a meeting with Sanjay Gunjyal, the boundary commander of the northern border headquarters in Dehradun, ITBP. The meeting discussed issues such as the promotion of tourism in the border areas of the state, the acquisition of local products for providing ITBP and providing medical services to local communities by the Health Facilities of ITBP. Sukhu said the state government would establish a better coordination with the ITBP’s Regional Response Center to strengthen disaster management capabilities. He said that Helipad in areas controlled by ITBP can be used to promote tourism in remote areas. All formalities in this regard will be completed in consultation with Force, which will also help increase connectivity. Sukhu said the state government is taking several steps to strengthen the rural economy. “If ITBP buys food products directly from locals, it will create jobs, and farmers and gardeners will benefit.” He requested the ITBP to prioritize the participation of locals in building projects after completing all the necessary formalities. The chief minister also instructed the state government officials to accelerate all the procedures for the establishment of communication towers in the border areas. Share this story -tags
