Former MFM Minister Ashkun is asking for investigation into the allegations against church leader Olukoya
According to Ashekun, who spent almost 20 years in the church and served as a minister, Oukoya did not sue for justice, but instead used it to drain and silence those who pronounce financially against him. Nigerian social media influencer and YouTuber Mrs. Funke Ashekun has called on Christian organizations and the Nigerian government for the allegations of intimidation and sexual abuse against Dr. Daniel Oukoya, the general supervisor of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM). In an exclusive interview with Saharan Porters on Monday, Ashkun Olukoya accused of using legal intimidation tactics to quiet critics, while also claiming his involvement in the church misconduct. According to Ashekun, who spent almost 20 years in the church and served as a minister, Oukoya did not sue for justice, but instead used it to drain and silence those who pronounce financially against him. Despite her repeated petitions to the Nigerian police, the Pentecostal Society of Nigeria (PFN) and other authorities, Ashkun claims that no steps have been taken. She also noted that even the Lagos governor, baby-sanwo-Olu, is a member of MFM, who raises concerns about impartiality to address these allegations. Ashekun revealed that Oukoya was avoiding itself directly in lawsuits, but that pastors, especially those who were transferred from Nigeria, sued him on his behalf. She said that some of these ministers are not real ministers, but rather ‘missionaries’ who carry out his precepts. She further revealed that Oukoya, when she tried to represent herself in court, had four advocates against her, despite not being listed as a plaintiff. In the end, she was fined $ 50,000, but was determined to continue her advocacy. Apart from legal intimidation, Ashekun Olukoya has accused of serious misconduct, including sexual abuse and extortion. According to her, several women claimed that Oukoya sexually assaulted them and secretly recorded their encounters without permission. Ashekun further claimed that Olukoya has hidden recording devices disguised as everyday objects used to secretly capture these incidents. She said that a former collaborator, identified as Akweji, admitted on her performance that he was involved in the acquisition of women for Olukoya and confirmed that some of the videos had been sent to third parties. She mourns the fear that prevents victims and media organizations to speak against Oukoya. She noted that those who try to expose him experience relentless retaliation in the form of lawsuits. Ashekun emphasized that a church should be a haven, but instead members of MFM suffered in silence, sustained loss, sexual abuse and broken families without any profession. She called on Christian organizations, law enforcement agencies and the Nigerian government to begin an independent investigation into these serious allegations to ensure justice and accountability. She said: “I sent petitions to the Nigerian police, the Pentecostal Society of Nigeria (PFN) and other authorities on Olukoya’s activities – but no action was taken.” A church must be a haven, but in Oukoya’s case, members suffer in silence – who have lost loved ones, jobs and marriages, who have sexual assault, without talking. Even those who dare to take him to court always lose. “Do your research – Oukoya is the Nigerian” man of God “with the greatest number of lawsuits in the country.” Oukoya does not sue for justice – he is a bankrupt and quiet and quiet. For the past two years, I have spent all my earnings (and in debt) fighting these lawsuits. Most victims cannot afford this battle – they suffer in silence. “The ironic thing is that Oukoya is never listed as a plaintiff in all these lawsuits. He avoids himself directly in cases because he has structures in place. Instead, he uses pastors – especially those he transferred from Nigeria – to propose lawsuits on his behalf. The first lawsuit arrived six plaintiffs behind me. They won because I could no longer afford my lawyer at some point. Apart from the relentless legal costs (which were too high for me), the approach of my lawyer changed, so I had to stop our representation. At the time, I had spent about $ 40,000. “When I went to court to represent myself, Oukoya had four advocates against me – but he wasn’t even part of the case. In a defamatory lawsuit, the parties involved must be those in court. ‘ But Olukoya sued the proxy and used pastors to do his dirty work. Eventually, I was imposed with a $ 50,000 fine. I accepted the fine and continued my advocacy because it is a struggle for humanity, especially for Christians. “Some of his top ministers trusted me and revealed that many of these ‘ministers’ are actually missionaries, not real pastors. Oukoya positions them to keep working for him, even to deal with his illegal intercourse. ‘ She continued, “Many women were too scared to speak out.” His members of the inner circle also spoke to me. They said that Olukoya had a lot of gadgets – cameras disguised as pens, buttons or small objects. “He takes on his victims without their knowledge.” Akpeji Daniel, a former propagandist for Mountain of Fire and miracles, Daniel Oukoya, came forward last week because he was one of Oermoya’s agents. He was involved in obtaining girls, ladies and women for Oukoya. “He admitted it on my show. The voice confirmed this. Akpeji also revealed that some of these recorded videos were sent to a third party by Oukoya. Many things happen in MFM. We have to talk. From today, I’m the only one that is openly exposed to Olukoya’s crimes. ‘ I scared many media houses and bloggers, but I understand – they are all people. “Oukoya is repaying against anyone trying to expose him by submitting various lawsuits. From today, am I standing in front of four lawsuits here in the US?” Do you know what that means? Legal costs in the US are not cheap. Over the past year I have struggled four lawsuits – two civil cases and two criminal cases. “I call on the government again – please don’t keep quiet. The Pentecostal Society of Nigeria (PFN) and others talked about this. Some people told me that Olukoya is not a member of the Christian Society of Nigeria (can). If so, why can’t he do a member of the members? And make it clear that his church members are aware of this? Many people still believe in him and fall into his trap. If they can reject him, they must declare it in public so that people can make informed decisions. “If they can’t investigate or confront Olukoya, are they afraid of him? Do they see him as a kind of mafia? If so, at least they must come forward and refuse him. We submitted petitions to the inspector general of the police and urged them to look at these allegations. ‘ In one case, a minister was shot in the leg. In another case, in Ikeja, a church member was almost executed with convicted prisoners in 2008. It was only through divine intervention that another police officer intervened and released at night. “We were crying for justice, but nothing was done. The governor of state Lagos even sits in the front row of Oukoya’s church services. How long will it continue?” We are calling on again – investigating this matter. If you say that you cannot do your investigations, at least do not turn a blind eye while Christians are harmed. ‘Attempts for the MFM spokesman, Mr. Collins Edomaruse, to reach, for an answer to the allegations was unsuccessful.
