India's top performance statement becomes 'Maharashtra', Gujarat in second: Report
New -Delhi, April 29 (IANS). Maharashtra is the first place among the top performance of states on economic and social parameters in the country, followed by Gujarat and Karnataka. This information was given in a report released on Tuesday. According to the ‘State Ranks 2025’ report of Carey Ratings, Maharashtra had the financial development above and the state performed strongly in economic, fiscal and social columns. At the same time, the Gujarat, which is second, finishes second with favorable results in fiscal and infrastructure columns with economic rank. According to the report, the western and southern states lead in the top five rankings. Fiscal, economic and financial development columns are strengths for Western states, while southern states performed well in economic, financial development, environment and management pillars. The Goa achieved the Goa Group B (North East, Hill and Klein State) with a strong score for financial development, infrastructure, social, fiscal and economic columns.
