Haryana CM Nayab Singh Sainin announced last month that the Haryana cabinet has decided to offer Phogat benefits equivalent to those of an Olympic silver medalist among the state’s sports policy. The state’s sports policy offers three types of benefits – a cash prize of £ 4 crore, an outstanding sports person (OSP) works under group ‘A’ and a Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) plot. The government recently sought her preference for the benefit she wanted to take advantage of. What happened to Vinesh Phogat during the Paris Olympics? After returning to India, Vinesh Phogat stopped wrestling and joined the congress. She contested and won the 2024 election of the Julana constituency that represented the congress. This promise has not yet been fulfilled,” she said in the meeting. “It’s not about money, it’s about respect. Many people from all over the state tell me that I should have received the cash award,” Vinesh Phogat said.
