Azerbaizan's president's interview

Beijing, April 26 (IANS). The China Media Group (CMG) recently interviewed the president of Azerbaizan Illham Haider Hyder Oglu Aliyev in China’s capital Beijing. On this occasion, Aliyev said it was my first visit to China for the past six years. But with this I met Chinese President XI Chinfing several times. In July last year, we released a joint statement to establish a strategic partnership. This is a very important milestone of collaboration between our two countries. On April 23, we concluded a joint statement to draw up a quadrilateral strategic partnership. The relationship between Azerbaizan and China has reached a new level. In addition, Azerbaizan and China have also signed more than 20 collaborative documents from different regions. Aliyev further stated that Azerbaizan and China unite on issues related to each other’s basic interests and support each other in defense of sovereignty and regional integrity. A joint statement to determine the quadrilateral strategic partnership also contains trade, transport, cultural exchange and other issues such as human cooperation. This joint statement is very important for Azerbaizan. Aliyev also said that many countries can learn the experience of modernization and reform of China. Now green development is a priority for Azerbaizan. China plays an important role in this. Chinese businesses invest in the green energy of Azerbaizan. It is estimated that by 2030, these projects will increase the power generation capacity of 6.500 MW of renewable energy in Azerbaizan. Aliyev said China is the largest source of Azerbaizan import and the fourth largest trading partner. Azerbaizan is expected to share more in the Chinese market.
