As an important step towards civil reform, Panipat Municipal Corporation (MC) received the NOC (NOC) for the development of the area next to the Pipeline Corridor of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) refinery. This area of 3.75 km passing through the residential areas of Ward 21, 25 and 26 will now be converted into a green area. According to the criteria of the refinery, construction in the region was banned due to safety and operational issues. However, according to MC IOCL safety guidelines, it is planned to use this open area to resolve this open area by developing a green park and beautifying the area to solve long -term problems of cleanliness and public health. Currently, this country is in low use and suffers from severe congestion and accumulation of solid waste. With a formal letter sent to IOCL for consent and assistance, an MC official said: “It has become a serious health and hygiene problem for the residents.” For dealing with this problem and prevention of vector -borne diseases, the municipal corporation suggested to transform unused land into an open entertainment area. In addition to obtaining consent, the municipal corporation also requested IOCL for financial assistance under its corporate social responsibility initiative (CSR). After this request, the Pipeline Division of IOCL granted conditional approval, taking into account the sensitivity of the Mathura-Jalandhar pipeline (MJPL), leading to highly flammable petroleum products. The company said: “Development work must be done under the supervision of IOCL.” Share this story -tags
