Jeff Bezos Sells Seattle Mansion for Record $63 Million After Assembling Miami Compound Worth $147 Million – ryan

Jeff Bezos is cleaning up loose ends as he makes his way to his Miami sanctuary.

According to the Puget Sound Business Journal and Robb Report, the billionaire Amazon founder, 61, has sold his Hunts Point, Wash., property for a whopping $63 million, making it the highest residential sale for the state.

The three-bedroom, four-bathroom 9,240-square-foot property includes an elevator, walk-in closet, secondary kitchen, a rooftop terrace with a fireplace, and a glass walkway that connects the property to its two-story guesthouse. The lush abode also occupies 300 feet of Lake Washington.

Bezos first announced he and his fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, 55, were relocating their primary residence from Seattle to Miami back in November 2023.

In an Instagram caption to a clip of a younger Bezos building Amazon in his parents’ home, the tech giant wrote, “Seattle has been my home since 1994 when I started Amazon out of my garage. That’s my dad behind the camera in this video, touring Amazon’s first ‘office.’”

Bezos reflected on his parents, calling them his “biggest supporters,” and their moving back to Miami, which he notes as the place they lived when he was younger.

“I want to be close to my parents,” the caption continued, “and Lauren and I love Miami. Also, Blue Origin’s operations are increasingly shifting to Cape Canaveral. For all that, I’m planning to return to Miami, leaving the Pacific Northwest.”

Bezos went on to call the move exciting but still “an emotional decision.” He went on to conclude the lengthy post with, “Seattle, you will always have a piece of my heart.”

Just a month before the relocation announcement, the billionaire purchased his second Miami mansion for a mere $79 million.

Multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Bezos purchased the Miami Beach home next door to the $68 million mansion he purchased just months before.

“Bezos paid $79 million for his neighbor’s house this week,” one source said at the time, adding, “He must want to have one big bash on Miami Beach.”
