He told her through the TV to look for him down on one knee as the episode aired, saying, “First thing I’m going to do, and obviously Averey, if you’re seeing this right now, you might want to look to the left or right to make sure I’m on a knee, and so, babe, wherever I am in the room right now, what do you say? Will you marry me?”

Tressler couldn’t leave fans hanging on whether or not Larson actually popped the question, and if she accepted his proposal, so she live tweeted during the episode, revealing“I Said Yes!!!”

Larson opened up to Entertainment Weekly about proposing in an interview published on Wednesday, but kept specific details under wraps.

“I did not know that they were going to air those kind things I said about Aves, and so we already had something planned, which we’re going to keep planned between Averey and I,” he said. “However, she is my everything, and I’ve asked her to marry me about a thousand times.”

Tressler currently lives with Larson and his two daughters, Hunter and Harlow.

“She is the girls’ mom. She jokes about that she’s going to ask me to marry her, to the girls,” Larson told the outlet. “I don’t know if she’ll see that moment (because) we’ll be in an RV park, but I know that even if we don’t watch the episode that her phone’s going to blow up.”

He continued, “So I’m like, how do we make this into a beautiful family moment and then still have the proposal as well? I want to do something absolutely amazing for (her), and so I don’t want to cheapen the proposal at all, which is why I’m kind of thinking of doing both.”

Larson said he was “blessed” to have met Tressler during All Stars season 4. Although he didn’t technically win that season, he said he went home with the real prize. “When I left with Aves, I won,” he said, per EW.

He also told the outlet that he’s grateful for Bunim Murray Productions for involving his family “as much as they have this season.” He shared, “The girls getting to see themselves and see me talking to them really mean a lot to them. Selfishly, I just want those moments captured and I’m so glad that I get to watch it with them.”
