Trinamole -Congress not in favor of division on the basis of religion: Kunal Ghosh
Kolkata, May 31 (IANS). On Saturday, the leader of the Trinamole Congress, Kunal Ghosh, targeted Die Post to encourage religious sentiments of a particular community on social media. He denied injuring religious feelings. The Trinamole leader against any discrimination and division on the basis of religion said: “Our clear attitude is that we are not in favor of any form of division or discrimination based on religion. We do not post such a thing. We do not support such things.” Referring to the necessary legal action on the matter, he said: “If there is necessary, we will not want any class to be injured, try to discriminate, there must be no division in the name of religion.” It is noteworthy that a Court in Kolkata on Saturday sent law student Sharmishtha Panoli after 14 days of judicial custody on charges of the damage of the religious feelings of a specific community. The 22 -year -old law student was arrested by the Gurugram in Haryana during the day by the Kolkata police and was brought back to Kolkata after the transport to Kolkata. He was produced in Kolkata City Court on Saturday afternoon and after a detailed trial in the case, he was eventually sent to judicial detention by June 13. A FIR was filed against him at the Garden Reach police station on May 15 to post a video on Instagram. In this, he made some remarks about ‘Operation Sindoor’, which allegedly harmed the religious feelings of a specific community. After strict criticism, he removed the video and apologized in the case in public.
