Trading started again between India and Afghanistan
Attari, May 17 (IANS). After the terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the trade between the two countries came to a standstill, but from Friday business activities started again via the Attari-Wagah border. With the introduction of operating activities via the Attari-Wagah border, there was a great relief to the merchants for whom this route is an important source of importing dry fruits and herbs. In fact, the Attari-Wagah border was closed due to the increasing tension between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. During this time, about 50 trucks on the Wagha border were stuck in the direction of Pakistan, which came to India with dry fruits and herbs from Afghanistan. According to the Integrated Checkpost (ICP) Attari and Department officials, the trucks that come on Friday were the same as emphasized in the Pakistan border due to tension. On Friday, six of these trucks were allowed to enter India via Attari checking. At the same time, Saturday, more than ten Indian trucks entered the integrated control post -solder, which will be loaded and departed again in different countries of the country. Traders are satisfied with the start of business relations between India and Afghanistan. This trade route between India and Afghanistan is very important. The Attari-Wagah border is the only approved trade ground route between India and Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. India imports dry fruits and herbs, mainly from Afghanistan, mostly from Kandahar and Kabul. The closure of this route not only caused economic loss to traders, but has also affected the availability of these goods in the market. -Ians Ash/Acae part labels
