There he found people with red colored faces that he called ‘redhead’. Columbus considered the tribes poor and felt that they could easily be controlled. Columbus found crops such as potato and maize on the new island that was not in Europe. He plans to investigate the region further. If the island of Salvador is considered India, Columbus has traveled four times. During this time, many other islands were also discovered, but they never got real India. Later, the Italian sailor investigated American Vespuchi Salvador, saying that the discovery by Columbus is not an India, but a new continent. In 1507, this new continent is called Vespuchi to America. European countries have recognized it as ‘New World’. Columbus may not reach India, but his visit opened the way for America’s search, which gave world history. Click here Life & Style Click for more stories Click here
