The remains of ancient civilization associated with the Saraswati River, tools and Jain records of the Mahabharata period were also found in dough, Rajasthan.
An important and historical discovery was made in the excavation done by the archaeological recording of India (ASI) in the BAHJ village Dough District Rajasthan. Archaeologists claim that this ancient water system can be the basis of civilization that thrives on the banks of the Saraswati River. The site is located approximately 50 km from Mathura and is an important link connecting the cultural heritage of the Saraswati sink. Apart from idols of Hindu gods, ornaments of ancient civilization were also found in the excavation that lasted five months. A woman’s skeleton and silver, antique copper coins were also found in large numbers at 4 meters depth. In addition, a store with tools from the Mahabharata period was also found, which has historically made this place very important. Important things found in this excavation: Mahabharata period tools: Tools made of bone, beads of semi-precious stones, Conch bracelets and 15 Yagya Kunds were found. Statues of Shiva Parvati: These sculptures can be even before 1000 BC. The stamps and copper coins of the Brahmi script: This site appears to be an important center of ancient civilization after the merits filled with sand filled in the Yajna Kundas of the Mahajanapada period and these coins in small pots. Walls and hills: Walls were also found under the hill during the excavation, providing a new picture of architectural and culture of this place. This site is also mentioned in Jain Records, where it is known as Vaja Nagar. Here, the mention of hills is also found in the form of cancer dunes. Researchers believe that the name of the city of Vaja was renamed Bahj. This site also comes on the Brij Chaurasi food Parikrama Marg, which makes it important and culturally important. This discovery can be an important milestone in the study of the development of ancient Indian civilization, especially the Saraswati River and its surrounding civilization.
