Policeman arrested bribes in the Korba district

An assistant sub -inspector (ASI) of the Korba district was arrested by the Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday for demanding and accepting a bribe from a local resident, an officer confirmed it on Sunday. The accused was identified as Manoj Mishra, who was arrested after a campaign on Saturday under the leadership of ACB. Mishra, who worked at the Hardi Bazar police station, seized the complainant last month on a sports utility vehicle (SUV). According to the official, Mishra accused the complainant of stealing diesel and told him that a case would be registered against him for alleged theft. Mishra demanded Rs 50,000, and Mishra demanded Rs 50,000 of the complainant for allegedly “solving the matter” and avoiding lawsuits. Despite being transferred to the Kotwali police station in Korba City, Asi Mishra continued to harass the complainant for bribery, emphasizing that the case could only be resolved with payment. The complainant threatened and felt the pressure of the regular claims of Mishra, ACB contacted to report the incident. ACB officials acted on secret information and laid a trap to catch the officer bribes. The campaign was successful when Mishra recorded the first installment of bribes at Rs 10,000 on Saturday, which is part of the total amount (Rs 50,000) that he was looking for. Share this story -tags
