The Jharkhand High Court sought a CBI status report, why delay in the trial of criminal cases submitted on MP-MLA?
The Jharkhand High Court asked the CBI for the reason for the delay in the trial of criminal cases filed against the state’s MP-MLA. The court instructed the agency to submit an update status report in this regard. During the hearing of public interest litigation submitted by automatic knowledge on the rapid trial of the cases submitted on MP-MLA, Amicus Curie’s lawyer, Manoj Tandon, said that the situation at the moment it looks like it will take many years to complete the hearing. It takes five-six years to form the charge after the CBI filed a charge sheet in several criminal cases associated with MP-MLA. The CBI does not intend that the hearing is completed soon. The CBI told the CBI that 12 criminal cases of MP-MLA in the state are pending. This includes nine cases in the Ranchi civil court and three in the Dhanbad court. The CBI lawyer said that after studying the order page, we would be able to know what reasons the completion of the hearing is delayed. In the earlier hearing on this petition, the court orally said that an organization like CBI will not bring witnesses soon. Due to delay in the trial, there is also an atmosphere of fear among the witnesses. The court orally said that the CBI appeared to be serious about the early execution of the pending case of MP-MLA. Delay in the trial also affects witnesses, their testimony is influenced.
