During Kovid-19, free tablets and 2 GB data were provided to about five Lakh students with the aim of speeding up online education. About 620 crore calls were spent on this scheme. But in recent months, there have been regular complaints from parents and Panchayat representatives that children use tablets instead of studying, playing games, watching movies and opening offensive sites. Many students also acknowledged that their interest in studies had decreased after getting the tablet. This situation was a matter of concern to the education department. This is why the government has withdrawn all the tablets and currently decided not to give them further to the students. However, the government does not close the tablet completely. According to the education department officials, these tablets will now be used in special competitive exams and educational opportunities. Now it will be in this way that these tablets will be used by the Haryana government to start Math Olympiad in this budget, so that students get interest in math. The tablet can be linked to this Olympiad. A letter will also be written to the Haryana staff choice commission (HSSC) and Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) asking them to include the use of tablets in their exam. The school education department was instructed to prepare the use of tablets in non-board exams.
