The body of ITBP Jawan Ratanlal Gurjar has reached its ancestral village in Sikar, Rajasthan. Shaheed Ratanlal Gurjar died due to low oxygen levels during patrolling in the snow hills of Jajradval in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. Shaheed Ratanlal Gurjar was placed in the 14th Battalion. Martyr Jawan was a resident of the Lohia Chudla village of Sawwalpura Tanwaran in the Srimadhopur area of the Ratan Lal Gurjar district. He was placed in the 14th Battalion ITBP. He is survived by his mother Anchi Devi, father and wife Balesh Devi and three children. Ratan Lal Gurjar’s older brother Rampal Gurjar was also placed in the Indian army and tortured in Jammu and Kashmir three years ago. Ratanlal Gurjar was the youngest of the four brothers. His two other brothers Mohan Gurjar and Roshan Gurjar work as farming with their father Birbal Gurjar. Ratan Lal Gurjar was married to Balesh Devi (Kotoputli). They have three children – older daughter Tanu (8 years), son Shukram (5 years) and the younger daughter Cashew (2 years). He came home a month ago. Shaheed Ratanlal Gurjar returned to service after completing his holiday a month ago. He spoke to his family at 7am and told him he was going on the mission. He also said that on May 3, 2025, he would come to the death anniversary of his older martyr’s brother Rampal Gurjar. The residents gathered to say goodbye to their loved ones.
