Mathura of Uttar Pradesh turned into a high security area on Friday, while Lakhs flocked to the city committed to celebrating Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Due to the three -day Krishna festival, authorities have increased vigilance to ensure smooth and safe celebration. To maintain law and order, the city is divided into four zones and 18 sectors, and more than 5,000 police officers and staff have been deployed in large areas. Officials said the entry of all heavy vehicles in Mathura was banned and due to the large crowd, the movement of vehicles on the routes leading to Shri Krishna Janmasthana temple was limited. Various safety measures have been further improved with strict monitoring on social media. The internal complex of the birthplace temple was declared a red zone, where additional police forces are deployed, while policemen, including women policemen, patrol in the surrounding yellow and green zone. Barricades has also been installed in many places, where the Police and Provincial Army (PAC) teams conduct a strong investigation into visitors to prevent the access of any unwanted element. Strict rules for entrance and exit are now from the northern gate (in the direction of Govind Nagar), while the main gate is used for exit. Cell phones, key rings, poly clock and any electronic equipment are strictly prohibited. Fans are advised not to bring objects such as shoes, bags, matches, lighters or umbrellas to the temple and leave them safely at their home so that the problems can be avoided during the exit, as the exit will be from another place. To help pilgrims, the police introduced the brajdham.co.in website to provide information on temples, routes, restrictions and other guidelines. Share this story -tags
