The discussion of the changing chief minister in Karnataka became fast again, SiddaramaAh and DK Shivkumar reached Delhi

In the political circles of Karnataka, there is only a discussion on the completion of the term of office of Chief Minister SiddaramaAh whether he will remain the main minister or will not move to a unique record. Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah and another contender for the post of deputy chief minister, DK Shivkumar, left for Delhi again. In his second term as chief minister, Siddaramaeah is now near Karnataka’s longest elected chief minister. He is close to equating the records of senior leader Devraj Urs. Devraj Urs was the main minister for over 2700 days. Siddaramaiah has repeatedly claimed to complete his five -year term, but the question is whether he will retire for DK Shivkumar under the so -called ‘rotary formula’. Shivkumar is called DKS. The two leaders have come to Delhi for the third time since June, while the state unit of Congress remains uncomfortable over the post of Chief Minister. Both leaders (Siddaramaiah and Shivkumar) can meet the top leaders of the congress during their visit to the national capital. After the command of the congressional leadership, this time the MLAs did not openly comment on the change of the Chief Minister. On the atmosphere within the ruling party in Karnataka, a senior leader of Congress said that the government was completed near the two and a half -year term, but the strategy and political interests lasted here. Siddaramaiah and Shivkumar are reported in Delhi to participate in the ‘participating Justice Conference’ organized by the backward class unit of the All India Congress Committee, but the inner sources of the congress say that the chief minister can meet the party leader Rahul Gahi. The last time he came to Delhi in the second week of July, he couldn’t meet Rahul Gandhi. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard. In the political circles of the state, especially within the ruling congress, it was speculated that the chief minister could be replaced later this year. The discussion is about the Power Partnership Agreement between SiddaramaAh and Shivkumar. It seems that the leadership of Congress has adopted a strategy for both parties to wait until the Bihar election is over. Currently, Siddaramaiah is the only OBC (other backward classes) of the congress in the country and many party leaders believe that if the party removes them, it can affect the Bihar election, as OBC voters here play a crucial role in the election results. A leader of the congress said the move will also be considered against OBC interests, as Rahul Gandhi has been seen continuously OBCs. For example, he is increasing the issue of caste census and increasing discussion. The party is fully aware of its results to take any steps against Siddaramaah. Siddaramaiah has great support from minorities, backward classes and Dalit communities in Karnataka and has the confidence of most MLAs. When Congress won the state election in 2023, there was a difficult battle between Siddaramaiah and Shivkumar for the post of Chief Minister. The party convinced DKs and made him Deputy Chief Minister. At the time, there were reports that the party had adopted a ‘rotary formula’ whereby Shivkumar would become the main minister after two and a half years. But the party has not yet made an official confirmation on this. Share this story -tags
