The central government takes the necessary steps to provide affordable CNG and PNG in the country
New -Delhi, April 18 (IANS). The central government said on Friday that it had taken the necessary steps to strengthen the domestic natural gas awards structure, which matched the center of the center to promote access to clean energy, improve air quality in cities and strengthen domestic energy security. The government said that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has set up household gas allocation policy to maintain and make the availability of PNG used for cooking in vehicles and cooks in homes. In the first quarter of FY 2025-26, domestic natural gas for CNG (T) and PNG (D) segment is awarded on a two -term lead. The award will now also include new pit gas (NWG) from the field given to ongc and oil. Estimates made by Gail and Ongc will help the City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies to ensure pre -supply information, which will increase the planning and distribution efficiency. The ministry further said: “Auction-based Award for NWG has been replaced with the award of the Pro-Rata to ensure timely and reliable offer. Gayle will assign NWG to CGD businesses in relation to their requirements, according to current MOPNG guidelines. Prices of Indian rough baskets, which are calculated monthly, with a recent (T) and png (d) natural gas more economical for consumers.
