Delhi's climate 'satisfactory', vivek vihar is the cleanest hotspot

New -Delhi, June 24 (IANS). There is a continuous improvement in air quality in Delhi. The capital’s air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 95 on Tuesday, which falls into the ‘satisfactory’ category. Meanwhile, Vivek Vihar was the best performing hotspot with AQI 70. Minister of Environmental Affairs, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, described it as the result of the government’s strict action, zero -tolerance policy and soil efforts. He said whether it is pollution control or preparation for the monsoon, Delhi’s government team is fully busy with the field. Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said: “Satisfied AQI is not a coincidence, but it is the result of daily hard work, coordination and responsibility between the departments.” It has been told that many important works have been done in the capital over the past 24 hours. Of these, 102 old vehicles were seized (more than 10/15 years old). 13.864 pollution challenges were cut. 11.015 metric tons of garbage was removed. 6.454 km of roads were cleaned and water was sprayed on 1.326 km of roads. Minister Sirsa said that Delhi is clean and pollution -free not just a purpose, it is a responsibility that every department and public representative seriously fulfills. He said, “We are not waiting for problems, we are already solving.” All of this exercise is done with the aim of realizing Premier Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India’ and ‘Developed Delhi’ vision.
