After 100 years, this whole forest will change as a Libraley, know what the reason is
Think, someone is preparing to print books 100 years from today. It may be a dream to hear, but it is made true in Norway. A unique initiative was taken in the Nordmark forest of Oslo, in which 1000 pine plants were planted. After a hundred years of these plants, that is, in 2114, paper will be made and 100 books will be published from them. ‘Forest to Future Library’ project This entire scheme is part of Future Library, a four -year project of Scotland artist Katie Patterson. Under this project, a writer will submit his manuscript to this future library every year. Just see, it can’t read at the moment, these compositions are preserved in a special wooden room in Oslo’s new public Deachmanske library. Any person can see these books, but they will only be able to read until the completion of 100 years. The first novel for the future library is submitted by the famous Canadian Littertreur and the winner of the Booker Award Margaret Etwood for the future library. His novel is called ‘Scribbler Moon’, published in the year 2114, 89 years from now. This unique initiative of Norway is a wonderful example of human thinking and patience. While people in today’s time want immediate results, Forest to Future Library gives us the message of walking with time and leaving something for future generations. Share this story -tags
