20 Districts note reducing deaths in road accidents in UP by 50%
The 20 most affected district action plans are prepared to prevent deaths in road accidents, while preparing to include Kharagpur as his technical partner to analyze the information of accidents and to support traffic safety measures in Uttar Pradesh, a senior transport officer said. The CM has ordered targeted intervention in 20 districts with the most accident death rate. These districts are Hardoi, Mathura, Lucknow, Bulandshahr, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Sitapur, Unnao, Barabanki, Lakhimpur-Kheri, Bareilly, Aligarh, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Shahjahanpur, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Badaun and Meerut. Transport Commissioner Brajesh Narayan Singh said: “On the cm’s instructions, we asked DM and officials of the transport department to draw up a district -specific action plan for the purpose of reducing the deaths in road accidents in the remaining 55 districts, especially in the remaining 55 districts.” He said that 20 districts with the most deaths were asked to submit their action plan against Mid -April and others later, but he said the plans had not yet been received because of the busy officials in cases related to the end of the financial year. “On Monday we are holding a meeting to review the progress,” he said.
