Study: Electronic Cigarette users are more capable of smoking
A new study published in the journal “Nicotine and Tobacco Research” revealed that smokers who turn into e -kigarettes are more susceptible to smoking ordinary cigarettes. The study comes as opposed to the results shown by previous studies, confirming that smokers who start using electronic cigarettes usually continue to smoke. The researchers have compared realistic trends in cigarette stop rates at population level between adult smokers using nicotine connection systems, compared to those who do not use it. This study highlights the sophisticated tobacco consumption scene in a growing market for electronic cigarettes, using representative data in the United States of studying the population evaluation of tobacco and health. The analysis focused on adults 21 years and older, and it is reported that they smoke cigarettes within a month. Exciting patterns and unveiled data collected by 6 waves every two years, about interesting patterns in the cigarette stations. Initially, between 2013 and 2015, the stop rates reached 16% for each of the e -kigaret and traditional cigarette users. Then a significant difference appeared in the following years. Between the years 2018 and 2021, the stop rate between e -kigaret users rose to about 30%, while it rose about 20% among ordinary cigarette users. This tendency indicates a noticeable interaction between time and the use of electronic cigarettes, which indicates a changing relationship between its use and the ceasing of tobacco products during the study period. The occurrence of new products and installations can be in the electronic cigarette market, including batteries with large capacity, nicotin compositions with higher concentrations and improved flavors, have contributed to these changing trends. Although previous research has resulted in conflicting results regarding the relationship between the use of electronic cigarettes and cigarettes, this study provides valuable visions on the results of the real world, focusing on the importance of the dynamic nature of the scene of tobacco products and the organizational context. Some research has drawn attention to improving the results associated with stopping smoking with electronic cigarettes, while another indicated the contrary. Unseen results due to the differences in samples and standards considered, or the differences in the analytical methods of user researchers, the rapidly changing product environment or policy contexts. The US market has evolved and the first -time nicotine delivery systems appeared in the US market in 2007, and the first electronic cigarettes looked like traditional cigarettes in appearance and used low -tension batteries. From 2016, manufacturers provided electronic fluids containing different combinations of nicotine, and new electronic cigarettes became widely available. These nicotine combinations contain a lower acidity than old formulas, allowing manufacturers to increase the concentration of nicotine, while avoiding the taste of the taste. The effects of these results extend to the decision -making process in the field of public health, which ask for research and political reactions that are compatible with the contemporary electronic cigarette market and community conditions. Understanding the complex interaction between the use of these products and stopping smoking can develop the policy makers and health workers more effective strategies to relieve the damage associated with tobacco and improve the efforts to stop smoking among the adult population. This study also confirms the need for continuous monitoring and evaluation, for tobacco controls in the context of the development of products, which ensure that public health interventions remain adaptable and respond to the trends that arise in tobacco consumption behavior.
