BSF IG ML Garg said on Bikaner Tour: "Borders completely safe"
Bikaner, April 26 (IANS). Security agencies across the country are on a warning mode following a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In this succession, Border Security Force (BSF) Rajasthan Frontier’s Inspector General of Rajasthan (IG) ML Garg visited Friday Bikaner and used the safety preparations for the border areas. Ig Garg spoke to the media, saying that every activity from across the border is closely monitored. He gave the assurance: “Our boundaries are completely safe and BSF is fully prepared to give an appropriate answer to any terrorist or unwanted activity.” He also called on the ordinary man to be vigilant instead of being afraid. IG Garg said monitoring was further reinforced by the wide use of drone technology in the border area. He said, “We are watching the rumor. Drone immediately takes up against suspicious activities.” The BSF keeps the concern of the health of the soldiers in the light of the scorching heat, and has set up cool rooms on all Bops (border from posts). In addition, immediate medical facilities are provided by deploying nursing assistants. Garg said the temperature of the border area is currently reaching 44 degrees and according to the meteorological department it could rise to 56 degrees. He said: “The health of the soldiers is our top priority.” The BSF also makes an active contribution to the development of border towns. Garg said: “We not only protect the boundaries, but also constantly try to develop basic facilities such as roads, electricity and employment in towns.” Ig Garg also told that the work of Smart Fencing was started in the Sriganganagar district, which will soon be expanded to the entire Rajasthan border area. “Smart fencing will be able to establish effective control over activities such as infiltration and smuggling,” he said. He appeals to the rumors that are spread on social media, and said: “The country’s security agencies are fully careful and coordinated. It is not necessary to panic, it is only necessary to be vigilant.” During the tour of Bikaner, Ig Garg also held the security situation at the sector’s headquarters and SP Koindde Sagar, commander NM Sharma, DCG Mahesh Chandra JAT and Intelligence Agencies, also held an important meeting. The meeting discussed extensively on possible dangers and security coordination. Dig Intelligence Vidur Bhardwaj was also present at the event. It is noteworthy that Ig Garg also previously visited the border areas of JaisAlmer and Barmer and inspected the safety arrangements, which are proof of BSF’s constant vigilance and readiness. -Ians DSC/CBT
