Patiala: Five bullets dead in office were arrested accused
Patiala, April 12 (IANS). A sensational murder in the Punjab Patiala district was resolved by police within six hours of the incident. Thursday night, 55 -year -old Mahendra Singh was shot dead near the old bus stall. As the seriousness of the case was seen, the police acted immediately and arrested the accused. Police also took the vehicles and weapons used in the incident. In this case, Patiala SP Palwinder Singh Ceema said at the press conference that he was informed about the murder at about 10pm on Thursday night. Once the information was received, the policy team led by DSP City Satnam Singh was sent to the place. After reaching the place, police began an investigation through human and digital footprints and identified the accused within six hours and arrested him. According to the SP, the deceased Mahendra Singh and accused Kunal Wadhwa sat together in the office. After some time, something was deteriorating between the two, after which Kunal fired five bullets at Mahendra. Police recovered the vehicle and weapons used by the accused of the scene. The accused Kunal Wadhwa is about 31 to 32 years old and is from Patiala. At the moment, police are questioning the accused for what reasons he killed Mahendra. SP Ceema said the extent of the investigation is increased and that it is also investigated whether it was an old rivalry or that there was a dispute over any partnership or money transaction. He also said that both sit and talk in the same place, so suddenly there is a thorough investigation to find out the reason to take such a big step. According to the SP, it is clear that this can be a planned murder, as five bullets have been fired very closely.
