AFSPA promotes violence in custody: Asaduddin Owaisi
Hyderabad, December 24 (IANS). Aimim President Asaduddin Owaisi said on Sunday that the Special Rights Act (AFSPA/AFPA) in Jammu and Kashmir promoted Sunday violence and torture in custody. Asaduddin Owaisi, MP of Hyderabad, responds to the reports of the army that allegedly harasses three citizens. On December 22, these three people were found dead near the attack of terrorists in the Poonch district. On December 21, five soldiers were killed and two injured in the attack of militants. Asaduddin Owaisi described the murder of three people as frightening. Asaduddin Owaisi posted from his X account that the compensation given by the government is not sufficient. The Jammu and Kashmir administration announced compensation and work to the families of the three citizens. He said: “AFPA in Kashmir promotes violence and torture in such supervision. The culprits must be investigated and they must be punished under civil laws.” Owaisi expressed concern about the situation in Kashmir during this time while addressing party workers. He said that our powers have not been attacked in this way since 1991. Torture is also a major cause of concern in the conservation of citizens. Owaisi asked what happened to the demands of the Minister of Homes, Amit Shah, that everything went well after the cancellation of Article 370 and demonetization and now is there no terrorism? He said: “Unfortunately, dialogue has been replaced by dialogue instead of proper national security.” -Ians FZ/SGK shares this story tags
