Submitting a charge sheet against Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi is a trick to distract attention from real issues
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and the President of the State Congress, Pratibha Singh, today claimed that the names of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case were only placed in the charge page so that people’s attention could be distracted by real issues such as inflation, unemployment and social trouble in the country. Sukhu led the congressional protests outside the office of the Directorate of the Enforcement against the inclusion of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi in the charge sheet. He said it was an attempt to close the mouth of Rahul Gandhi, which increases the voice of the poor and the underprivileged. In the midst of a victim against the central government, the chief minister said: “Rahul Gandhi is raising the voice of the poor and the underprivileged. He speaks fearlessly against Narendra Modi. Therefore, central agencies are trying to suppress their voice.” Sukhu, who questions the functioning of the Directorate for Enforcement, said there was nothing against the Gandhi family in the case and that it would eventually prove in the court of law. He said: “The Gandhi family lives in honesty and transparent way. The state government and the party are strong with the family.” Pratibha said the central government works in a dictatorial way and repeatedly harasses the Gandhi family. He claims: “Rahul Gandhi raises the issue of unemployment, inflation and manipur, etc. The central government has no response to its issues. Central agencies are harassing our leaders.” He said that the name of the names of Gandhi family members on the list is condemnable and that Congress will oppose it strongly. “The workers of Congress are also ready to go to jail to protect their leaders,” he said.
