Strict steps to stop black marketing in border areas in Punjab visited ministers

Amritsar/Fazilka, May 10 (IANS). Strict steps were taken to combat black marketing and essential commodities in the border areas of Punjab in light of the tension between India and Pakistan. On instructions from the main minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, the Cabinet ministers visited the border towns and tackled the situation and called on the shop owners not to sell goods at a higher price. Cabinet ministers Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and Mahendra Singh Bhagat visited the Border Townies in the Ajnala meeting of Amritsar on Saturday. During this, he met shop owners in Sarang Village near Attari and heard their problems. The ministers gave clear instructions to the shop owners that there would be strict action on receiving a complaint of black marketing or selling goods at higher prices at this time of crisis. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said: “The country is currently going through a crisis. Everyone must unite and work for the well -being of the people. If a higher price is found, he will not be spared.” The shopkeepers assured ministers that they were standing with the country and would not sell goods or black marketing at an expensive price. Mahendra Singh Bhagat said: “The people of Punjab will not be allowed to face any kind of problems. Our government monitors the situation in the border areas.” In this departure, Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Singh and Sheriff Kaur visited the Fazilka district and checked the preparations for the Civil Administration. The ministers held a meeting with the district administration and investigated the local civil hospital. The ministers confirmed that adequate beds and essential medicines are available according to the need. Tarunpreet Singh Sond said: “The residents of Fazilka do not have to panic. All necessary arrangements have been made for their safety and comfort.” Jalandhar’s Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal said in a message: “Jalandhar was on a red warning all night. The armed forces saw many items and disabled them.
